Course Description:

This course will be a virtual course describing and explaining how to recognize patients with chronic pain and how to prescribe a therapeutic exercise intervention program using the best and latest evidence for this population. The course will focus on the evidence that demonstrates the techniques that are and are not effective in this particular population

Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:

  1. The participate will be able to choose & describe appropriate examination techniques most appropriate for patients with chronic pain
  2. The participate will be able to choose & describe appropriate outcome measures most appropriate for patients with chronic pain
  3. The participate will be able to choose & describe appropriate treatment techniques most appropriate for patients with chronic pain using best evidence

Marie-Eve Pepin, PT, OMPT, MSPT, DPT

Bio:

Marie-Eve Pepin, PT, OMPT, MSPT, DPT is a 1998 graduate of McGill University with a BS in Physical Therapy, a Master from Oakland University, a Doctorate from the MGH Institute and a specialization in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy from Oakland University. She is also a core faculty in the Wayne State University Physical Therapy Program. She has been teaching orthopedic content, and in particular therapeutic exercise interventions for over 15 years. She has been working as an orthopedic physical therapist for 25 years.
